Doctors

The Doctor Module in FaMedic allows families to build and maintain a secure and organized list of healthcare professionals. This includes general practitioners, pediatricians, specialists, therapists, and more. It's designed to help families keep their doctor information accessible at all times. Whether for routine checkups or emergency consultations, Doctors Module can save your time.

Why is It Useful?

You often need to save doctor contacts. You might forget their clinic name, phone number, or specialty. With this module, you won’t need to search through papers or messages.

Here’s how this module helps:

  1. Keeps all doctor details in one secure place.
  2. Useful during telemedicine appointments or hospital visits.
  3. Allows families to reference a doctor’s specialization quickly.
  4. Helps track which clinic each doctor is affiliated with.

How Does It work?

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the FaMedic App.
  2. Tap on the Doctors tab from the home screen or side menu.

  1. You will see a list of the doctors you have saved. For now, our list is empty since we have not added any Doctors yet.

  1. To add a new doctor, just tap the “+ Add Doctor” button.

What Details Can You Add?

Once you tap Add Doctor, you’ll see a form. You can enter the following information:

Name

Start with the doctor’s first name. This is required. It helps you identify the doctor later.

Last Name

Add the surname. This is also mandatory, especially if you save doctors with similar names.

Specialization

Write the doctor’s speciality. For example, Cardiologist, ENT, Dentist, or Pediatrician. This lets you filter doctors when needed.

Comment

Use this space for personal notes. You can write anything helpful, such as:

  1. Doctor’s behavior
  2. Clinic hours
  3. Languages spoken
  4. If the doctor is good with kids
  5. This section is optional, but very useful.

Contact

1) Add the doctor’s phone number. It can be a mobile or landline. This lets you call directly from the app.

2) Type the email address if available. You can use it to:

  1. Send reports or test results
  2. Book appointments online
  3. Contact for remote consultations

Clinics

Click “+ Add Clinic” to link the doctor to one or more clinics.

  1. The Clinic data comes from the Clinics Module. Learn how to add Clinics here.
  2. This helps you remember where the doctor practices.

  1. Click Save to store the information.
  2. The new doctor will appear in the list on the left panel.
  3. You can edit or delete records at any time.

How Can You Edit or Delete a Doctor?

Need to update something? No problem.

  1. Tap the doctor’s name from your list

  1. Want to delete the doctor? Right-click on the doctor and click on the "Remove" and confirm

The process is quick and easy. This saves time and avoids confusion.

Real-Life Use Case

Sara, a mother of two, uses the FaMedic Doctor Module to:

  1. Store contact details of her pediatrician, ENT specialist, and family GP.
  2. Note which doctor is available at which clinic.
  3. Keep a comment log with each doctor (e.g., “prefers video consultation on Tuesdays”).
  4. Email medical history to the doctor straight from FaMedic during a remote session.

When you visit a new doctor or specialist, update their contact details immediately in FaMedic. Add a quick comment like "Referred by Dr. Smith, follow-up in 3 months."

This helps maintain continuity in your family’s medical history and streamlines future visits.
