Clinics

The Clinics module in FaMedic allows users to add and manage information about clinics they frequently visit or intend to visit. This helps in organizing and storing relevant clinic details for efficient access during emergencies or routine checkups. Whether managing appointments for children, elderly parents, or oneself, this module provides a convenient way to keep everything in one place.

Why the Clinics Module Is Useful

Managing multiple family members’ health means visiting various clinics, specialists, or therapy centers. This module helps families:

  1. Avoid confusion about where each member received care
  2. Share exact clinic info during emergency calls
  3. Quickly retrieve clinic contact details for follow-ups
  4. Digitally document care centers for recurring visits

How It Works

Accessing the Clinics Module

From the FaMedic Dashboard, click on the "Clinics" tab located in the side navigation panel.

Adding a New Clinic

Click the "Add Clinic" button at the top right.

You'll see a form like the one below:

Filling in Clinic Details

Complete the following fields:

  1. Clinic Name: e.g., “Bright Future Pediatric Clinic”
  2. Address: Full address of the facility
  3. Contact Number: For easy follow-ups
  4. Doctor’s Name: Primary physician if known
  5. Clinic Type: e.g., Pediatrics, Dermatology, Physiotherapy
  6. Notes: Add any specific notes (e.g., “Has weekend hours,” or “Specializes in autism therapy”)

Once all fields are filled, click "Save". The clinic will now appear in your Clinics list.

How to Edit a Clinic

Sometimes clinic contact details change, or you want to update a doctor’s name or add new notes. Here's how to do that:

  1. Navigate to the Clinics module from the dashboard.
  2. You’ll see a list of saved clinics.
  3. Next to each clinic form, there’s an Edit icon
  4. Click the Edit icon.
  5. Make the necessary changes (e.g., new phone number, updated address, specialist change).
  6. Click Save to update the clinic details.

🟡 Tip: If the doctor has changed specialties or the clinic now offers new services (like mental health consultations), update the Clinic Description to reflect that.

How to Delete a Clinic

If a clinic is permanently closed or no longer relevant, you can remove it from your records.

  1. Go to the Clinics module.
  2. Right-click on the clinic, and you will see the option "Remove" here.
  3. Click the Remove.
  4. A confirmation prompt will appear:
“By confirming this action, you will not be able to undo this action"
  1. Click Confirm to permanently remove it from your list.
🔴 Note: Deleted clinic records cannot be recovered, so be sure before confirming.

Real-Life Use Case Scenarios

Managing Pediatric Visits

A parent with two young children can add their pediatrician’s clinic to the module. Notes can include "best time to visit: mornings," or "bring vaccination record." This helps plan checkups efficiently.

Elderly Care Support

An adult child taking care of an elderly parent can add all regular clinics — cardiology, physiotherapy, eye specialist — into the module. Tracking contact numbers and timings ensures appointments are never missed.

Regular Wellness Visits

Users who regularly visit wellness clinics for acupuncture or massage therapy can store those details, track sessions, and even set reminders through connected modules.
