Getting Started

Accessing the Module

1. Log in to FaMedic, the best medical records app for Android, and open the dashboard.
2. Click Treatments from the sidebar.

Adding a New Treatment

Click + Add Treatment.

Fill in Treatment Name, e.g., “Clotrimazole Cream” or “Vitamin D Drops”.

Choose Treatment Type (Cream, drops, pills, herbs, acupuncture, massage, inhaler, etc.). Click the "+" button, and a new window will open, allowing you to select a treatment type or create a new one.

(Anything that affects your body physically is considered a treatment.)

Writing or Generating Description

There are two ways to generate a description for your added treatments:

Manual

1. Write your own concise summary.

AI-Generated

1. Click Generate. This method requires an OpenAI API key. It supports quick, accurate descriptions like: “Clotrimazole cream—used topically for fungal skin infections, apply twice daily…” When you click the Generate button, it will send the Treatment name and Treatment type to OpenAI. OpenAI analyzes these parameters and generates a description for you. Note that it will be sent to your ChatGPT. Additionally, no personal data would be sent to ChatGPT; only the treatment name and type would be transmitted.
2. Click here to enable the AI description generator.

Adding Issues & Files

Issues

Link symptoms or problems this treatment addresses (e.g., eczema, seasonal allergies). Note that the Issues data comes from the Issues module. If you have created any issues in that module, those issues will appear here.

Attachments

Upload photos (rashes), lab scans, prescriptions, or PDFs.

Saving

Once everything is complete, click Save.

The treatment is now logged and visible under the family member’s profile. You can also delete a particular treatment by selecting it from the list and clicking on the Delete button.
